From The Eagles' website:
It is with the heaviest of hearts that we announce the passing of husband, best friend, father, comrade, and Eagles founder, Glenn Frey, in New York City on Monday, January 18th, 2016.
Glenn fought a courageous battle for the past several weeks but, sadly, succumbed to complications from Rheumatoid Arthritis, Acute Ulcerative Colitis and Pneumonia.
The Frey family would like to thank everyone who joined Glenn to fight this fight and hoped and prayed for his recovery.
Words can neither describe our sorrow, nor our love and respect for all that he has given to us, his family, the music community & millions of fans worldwide.

Sad to hear, RIP Glenn Frey
I got to see the Eagles in concert twice a couple years ago, they were damn good live.

Eagles' Don Henley says 'The Eagles are done performing'
The Eagles tribute to late band member Glenn Frey during the Grammys in February may have been
their last performance.
Don Henley told BBC Radio 2's Simon Mayo that he and his fellow band members had a tough time performing
with Jackson Browne a month after Frey died in January at 67.
"It was very difficult and very emotional," Henley said "We actually almost didn't do it'.'
Henley describes the Frey tribute at the Grammys as The Eagles' final farewell.
