My brother-in-law, who was 8 years older than me, played "A White Sport Coat and a Pink Crustacean" for me when I was 15, and I've been a fan ever since.

I think it was probably Fruitcakes that gave me the initial tug. Then I bought SYKBH

The first Buffett album (CD) that I listened to in its entirety was the "Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays" live album. I give that record a lot of credit for making me into the fan I am because it wasn't overloaded with the SYKBH. Until that point I had heard Margaritaville, Cheeseburger in Paradise, and Come Monday on the radio, but that CD exposed me to a few of his rarer songs like Tin Cup Chalice and Trying to Reason With Hurricane Season.
The first studio album I listened to start to finish was "Far Side of the World" which came out a year after I got TTS. Oddly, at the time I wasn't a fan of FSOTW, but now I consider it easily one of my top five favorite Buffett albums start to finish with "Far Side of the World" being my favorite Buffett song of all due to my experiences traveling literally to the far side of the world.
Those two albums definitely shaped my formative years of Buffett fandom

Re: The first Buffett album you heard ?
I know it's not the cool answer, but I gotta think most people's first Buffett album was Songs You Know By Heart. Just like most people's first Marley album was Legend. At least that's what got me in the door. The one that made me a fan, though, was Living and Dying in 3/4 Time (and Kaya for Bob).

I don't even know album names. When Ilived in Florida (Tampa Bay area, pretty far from Margaritaville), my best friend at the time had the one that had "Cheeseburger in Pradise" (duh), and that song about his "African friend" (I liked that one a lot).
