Hi,folks.
I'm 39 and live on the west coast. I did live in FL in the early 90's. In the Tampa Bay area.
I came here because I just started reading JB's Tales from Margaritaville again. I had been given it by my father when we lived in FL. He is a great story writer. I wish Heat Wave, AL were a real place!
Musicwise, I had a neighborhood friend in FL who had whatever tape had Cheeseburger in Paradise on it. I enjoyed that whole tape, but I like him better as a writer, oddly.
Plus, I just like his style.
Anyhow, I'm just exploring that JB interest of mine.
Love his tales

Re: Love his tales
It's obviously not a tale, but I think one of the best things he's ever written are these lines:
Haul the sheet in as we ride on the wind
That our forefathers harnessed before us
Hear the bells ring as the tide rigging sings
It's a son of a gun of a chorus
Just read it out loud. It's damn near perfect.
