The big show moved back to Florida on Thursday night as Jimmy and the band continued the last session of the Summerzcool Tour with a show in Orlando, Florida.

Returning to Orlando for the first time since February 8th, 2007 at the same venue, the set list once again featured a few Florida treats. The first few were in the first set as Jimmy brought back “License to Chill,” “Window on the World,” which was once again dedicated to the astronauts aboard the space shuttle Endeavour, “Rhumba Man,” and “Fruitcakes” with plenty of references to the video that was shot in Orlando.

Changes in the second set included the biggest one of all. “Door Number Three” returned to the set for the first time since August 30, 2007 in Uncasville, CT. Other changes where in the first encore as “Nobody From Nowhere” and “Brown Eyed Girl” brought us a completely different one. Finally, Jimmy closed the evening by dedicating “Tryin’ to Reason with Hurricane Season” to Gamble Rogers and his memories of them traveling around Florida and Gamble teaching Jimmy how to be a entertainer.

Margaritaville Eyewear Coming Soon

There has been a slew of new products coming out lately from Margaritaville Enterprises, including flavored iced teas, frozen chicken wings, a new line of rum, and a line of outdoor furniture. “Margaritaville” was even trademarked for video game use last November.

Today another product was announced. Margaritaville, teaming up with Orange 21, will develop a line of eyewear that will hit retailers this summer:

The collaboration with Orange21 was a natural choice for Margaritaville, “America’s leading lifestyle brand.” Jimmy Buffett has personified the aviator/adventurer for three decades and his evocative lyrics and lifestyle have inspired a cross-generational following. The Margaritaville concept translates vividly into attire, foods, spirits, and party/tailgate essentials, attracting a diverse customer base that enjoys bringing Margaritaville with them wherever they go.

Orange21 is a premium producer of eyewear. Based in Carlsbad, California, the Orange21 brands — SPY Optic and O’NEILL Eyewear – have become market leaders in both style and quality. The addition of the Margaritaville Eyewear line to its growing stable of brands is another great story from the people who invite everyone to “Live Through Our Lens.”

“Orange21 is honored to be producing this line of eyewear for Jimmy and for Margaritaville. Jimmy’s life work continues to touch so many people and has basically defined the notion of FUN for all the right reasons. That’s the kind of friends we like to hang with!” says Stone Douglass, CEO of Orange21. “Adding Margaritaville Eyewear to our lineup is a continuation of our multi-branded strategy at Orange21 and we look forward to continued success as an expanding and authentic leader in the lifestyle eyewear market.”

Learn more about Jimmy’s business empire here.

All Shows Now On Sale, Many Sold Out

After the five shows that went on sale this morning, all announced shows have now gone on sale and many are sold out. In fact, many sold out within a few minutes of going on sale. According to Cincinnati.com, their show at the Riverbend Amphitheater sold out in six minutes this morning.

However, a quick check on all the shows this afternoon at 2:00 pm central time revealed that face value tickets through TicketMaster can be had to a lot of the shows still. We searched each show for two tickets with any price. The following shows had tickets available:

So if you tried right when they went on sale and got shut out, try again by clicking on the show above and you might still be able to score face value tickets. The primary reason for tickets becoming available after “selling out” is that some of the sales were rejected by TicketMaster for one reason or another and the tickets are then released back into the wild.

If the show you want to attend is not one of the shows in the list above, keep trying TicketMaster once a day or every other day and you might get lucky.

Another source for face value tickets is our Fun Ticket Transfer. It’s a section of our forum where fans can buy and sell tickets at face value. So be sure to browse the listings there.

If you still are having no luck, then you can get tickets through reseller sites like Stubhub, TicketsNow, TicketNetwork, or eBay, but you’ll have to pay substantially more than face value.
