Just this week the Fall tour dates were removed from without any explanation. Fans who called and e-mailed the Key Arena in Seattle were told that the Jimmy Buffett show there on October 21st had been canceled.

There is no word on the other dates that were removed, which include: 10/15 – Chula Vista, CA, 10/17 – Las Vegas, NV, 10/24 – Las Vegas, NV, 11/19 – Toronto, Canada, 11/21 – Uncasville, CT, and 11/24 – New York City, NY.

If you contact one of the venues please e-mail us or leave a comment and let us know what you hear.

Update – One of our forum members says that they received an e-mail from Live Nation with regards to the May 16th Las Vegas show that said “this is the only Jimmy Buffett concert in Las Vegas”

It makes me very sad to hear that Jimmy Buffett’s Seattle Concert was cancelled. Haven’t gotten to hear him since two or three years ago in Portland, Oregon. Anyone know why yet? Is he coming at another time? Sure hope so!

This ruins my ultimate concert weekend in Vegas. I got tickets for U2 on 10/23, in Vegas, and I was coming to the JB show on 10/24, in Vegas(which would have been my third JB for the year)

    What a disappointment.

I have been to Vegas for the last 5 years to see the October show. I am also a N.Y. Jets fan. If J.B. is canceling the Vegas shows so he can do something for the Fish in Miami @ Landshark Stadium, I am going to be pissed!!!!!!!!!!

holy crap!!!! Say it aint so! Vegas on the 17th…
I have all my reservations prepaid, informed my clients, and non refundable airline tickets….This is my big weekend with all my friends flying in from all over the country and Canada. Please let me know what is happening. Please Jimmy don’t let us down!!!!

Noooooo! I’ve been waiting YEARS to finally get the chance to go. I’ve got 7 friends all excited to go to his Vegas concert Oct 24. PLLLEEEAAAASE! Don’t cancel!

  • ParrotheadJones NC

Don’t feel bad, I just got confirmation from the Las Vegas Parrothead Club, it is official, no October concert. We to have paid for round trip airfare and hotel. We have no clue what to do now.

I spoke with a source at the Margaritaville Cafe regarding the cancellation and was told it had to do ‘with Landshark Stadium’. Checking the Miami Dolphin’s schedule, Oct. 18th is the bye week. Look for an announcement of a sadium show on Oct 17th.

This is incredible to me. I, too, have prepaid hotel rooms for 3 night and non-refundable tickets. No wonder Jimmy added the Vegas show in May. What a dramatic disappointment. I know Jimmy loves Vegas, so I just have to assume he was unable to be there this year. After all, business is business, I guess. Same time, next year? I have to plan my vacation 1-1/2 years in advance. This really messes up my long-ago made plans.

What does it mean that it is “bye week” for the Miami Dolphins? I have never heard of that term.

Doesn’t anybody care that the Seattle Concert was cancelled?
I don’t have money to fly off elsewhere. Even that is three hours away for me, but I’m willing to do it for a Buffett Concert!

    I’m really disappointed!

  • Josh

A “bye week” is a week that the Dolphins don’t have a game.

  • Cheryl

Can’t believe the Vegas concerts are going to be cancelled. We went last year for the first time and had a great time. We have 6 other WYO parrotheads to join us and have already booked airline and motel. What a bummer.

  • John in Tampa

Vegas show in May was AWESOME! BTW, it’s “BI” week, as in “BI-WEEKLY”. Not “Bye-week”…sheesh

  • Josh

When you’re talking about football, “bye” is correct. Not “bi”

  • Paula

Not going to explain to this lady what “BI” or “Bye” and the
Landshark Stadium has to do with JB cancelling shows?
Inquiring minds want to know. ; ) You’re using terms that I am not familiar with.

  • Josh

Bye week was brought up because if Jimmy is canceling or rescheduling shows to make room for a concert at Landshark Stadium then it might make sense to do it on Miami’s bye week because Miami wouldn’t be playing at home that week.

  • Paula

Oh, I see. Thanks for explaining. :)

  • Jeff in Utah

No, it’s “bye” week. As in you have a, “bye” that week, and you don’t play. We have been going to Vegas for about 6 years now, and October is awesome. This year, I bought floor seats a month ago for last Saturday’s show, and I’m glad I did. It was awesome! He played for almost 3 hours!

All my plans for Seattle are down the drain. Why all the west coast cancellations?!

We need at least one last visit to Gorge.

  • Bis2do

Well I guess it is 5 O’ clock somewhere other than Seattle… Damn
