I suppose he could swing through Glendale before heading back to Texas to start the tour. However, if I were betting, I’d put my money on Jimmy showing up in Glendale May 31st to join Kenny Chesney & LeAnn Rimes on stage at UNIVERSITY OF PHOENIX STADIUM for the CORONA EXTRA PRESENTS - KENNY CHESNEY/POETS & PIRATES TOUR
SAT, MAY 31, 2008 3:30 PM. The stadium and Margaritaville are right next to each other. It’s a good cross-marketing opportunity and, let’s face it, if you’re talking “poets & pirates”, you’re talking Jimmy Buffett.

Does anyone how they’ve handles Jimmy’s visits to other Margaritaville locations? For instance, do they sell tickets to the event, or is it open to the general public on first come, first severd basis? Also, is it something that’s generally advertised to the general public, or does he try to make a surprise visit? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I have spoken to employees at the Glendale Margaritaville and they say that they have no idea when he will show up. They say he surprises literally everyone - usually in the morning - and hangs out with the chefs in the kitchen for a good part of the day. Then he surprsies people by walking out into the restaurant and generally plays music on the stage inside for the EXTREMELY lucky patrons. He really likes the feel of playing to little crowds so he doesn’t make it public or sell tickets.

I went to margaritaville yesterday and WOW! what an amazing place with a great atmosphere! I have tickets to see Kenny chesney when he comes to town may 31st, and its a sure bet that Kenny will show up at Margaritaville sometime before or after his concert. Afterall, the stadium is so close to the restaurant why wouldn’t he? If anyone knows ANYTHING about this please let me know. Thx!
