Jimmy will be making a couple of TV stops this week to promote his upcoming movie “Hoot”. Look for him Monday May 1, on NBC’s Today and performing a cut from the Hoot Soundtrack Friday May 5, on Live with Regis and Kelly.

Were it any other performer and any other crowd, the threat of rain might’ve put a damper on an outdoor show. But this was Jimmy Buffett and his diehard Parrotheads. The forecast — rain never materialized during Friday’s show at Smirnoff Music Centre — only added an extra degree of intensity, a sense of “let’s make the most of what we have because it could rain at any minute.”

The place was packed, and that didn’t even count the party in the parking lot, a Parrothead tradition. There was an entire village of RVs with fans coming in from places like Minnesota and Kentucky. A family
atmosphere prevailed, which Buffett noted on stage.

Jimmy Buffett and the Coral Reefer Band brought their Party At The End Of The World Tour into Dallas, Texas on Friday night for the last show of the first leg of the tour.

The set list featured a few changes. Buffett mixed in a cover of the Willis Allan Ramsey’s “Northeast Texas Women,” as well as a cover of Little Feat’s “Dixie Chicken”. He also opened the show with “Migration”, the first time it had been played since 2002.

Jimmy will play a special show Next Thursday Night at the Margaritaville in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and he will also play Jazz Fest next Saturday. Look for Jimmy to take the stage around 5 P.M. Central, 6 P.M. Eastern.

According to a Buffett World Forum member, Jimmy Buffett will be performing two consecutive Saturdays in October in Las Vegas. Which two, have not yet been decided upon, but this is a definite, the source is solid. There will be no other California shows in the Fall, and Oregon is highly doubtful.

Myrtle Beach Online has the scoop on how to get tickets for Buffett’s May 4th performance at the Myrtle Beach Margaritaville:

Radio contests for Jimmy Buffett’s May 4 concert at Margaritaville restaurant in Myrtle Beach will start Thursday on two stations, 107.1 FM and 104.9 FM.

Tickets for the evening show will not go on sale. The only way to snag one of the 300 spots is to win the tickets from the radio or through drawings at Margaritaville and Cheeseburger in Paradise, the two local eateries affiliated with Buffett.
