Leonard Nimoy played scores of roles in a showbiz career that lasted more than six decades. But he will be remembered and loved for a character known simply as Spock.

Nimoy died Friday of end-stage chronic obstructive pulmonary disease at his Los Angeles home, his son, Adam Nimoy, told the Associated Press. He was 83.

Wow! Yeah, I didn't think about JB's music, but he does reference Star Trek multiple times. Just goes to show what a cultural touchstone the show has become. The show, and Mr. Spock, have been around for nearly 50 years now, which means most people can't remember a time before Star Trek and Mr. Spock.
