1979 Year in Review:

1979 saw Jimmy continuing to headline and adding even bigger arenas to his tour. The “You Had to be There” Tour included the South and the West Coast before concluding in mid-April so Jimmy could head to Montserrat to record the new lp “Volcano.” It is not known when exactly the tour resumed, but mid-June would be a good guess. When it did resume, Jimmy headed back to the west coast, then to the east coast. September brought Jimmy to Hawaii for the first time opening for the Eagles in Aloha Stadium.
