1973 Year in Review:

1973 was another lost year in Buffett history until recent discoveries shed light on a few dates. Now located in Key West, “A White Sport Coat and A Pink Crustacean” hit in June on Jimmy’s new label ABC Dunhill. To help promote it, Jimmy and Greg “Fingers” Taylor played a show at Max s Kansas City in New York, NY on June 17, a date mentioned in longtime Buffett photographer Tom Corcoran’s book “The Key West Years.” A stint at The Lion’s Share in San Anselmo, CA opening for Country Joe MacDonald was also confirmed, as well as a stint at Paul’s Mall, a club Buffett often refers too during Northeast shows, opening for Delaney Bramlett. No doubt several other dates are still lost in history as well.
