New Year, same band, same tour. But what a Tour it was. Despite no new album to tour off of in 1980, the band was still as great as ever and the “Volcano” material just got stronger. Perhaps the most surprising song to catch on was “Chanson Pour Les Petits Enfants,” a children’s song that fit right into the show. The summer tour saw the return of the “Wonder Why We Ever Go Home” –> “Landfall” medley, along with two new songs, “Incommunicado” and “Growing Older But Not Up.” Two new members were added to the band as well, Matt Betton took over on Drums and Josh Leo helped out on Guitar due to a nerve condition with the fantastic Barry Chance, who stayed on playing slide Guitar.
