1977 saw commercial breakthrough for Jimmy with “Margaritaville,” and the success carried over to the tour. 2 years into the Coral Reefer Band, Jimmy added some new members, and the band started playing better than ever. The new album certainly helped their cause as such songs as “Biloxi,” “Tampico Trauma,” and “Dixie Diner” gave the band a real chance to rock out. “This Hotel Room” became a full band sing along with Tim Krekel, Harry Dailey and Greg “Fingers” Taylor each taking a verse. Of course, the new hits “Changes in Latitudes, Changes in Attitudes” and “Margaritaville” took their places in the set list along side the other already classic songs to give Jimmy a stable full of hits. Unreleased songs for the year included a one verse version of “We are the People…” and a full version of “Manana” with a few different lyrics.
