It's funny that Jimmy never really talked about a new album the way some other artists have... and he's putting out a new album before The Rolling Stones, who haven't released a new studio album since 2016 and a new album of originals since 2005 (and prior to that, 1997)!

So what has Jimmy released since 1997 in the span of 3 Stones albums?

Don't Stop The Carnival 1998
Beach House On The Moon 1999
Far Side Of The World 2002
License To Chill 2005
Take The Weather With You 2006
Buffet Hotel 2009

In the Twenty Teens... this is obviously a result of building condos, retirement homes, a musical and whatever else...

Songs From St Somewhere 2013
'Tis The SeaSon 2016

So he's ending the Twenty Teens with one more release, a back to Key West album with some pretty good tunes on it (so far that I am able to tell).

Looking forward to it.

Songs available so far:

15 Cuban Minutes
This sounds like a DON'T STOP THE CARNIVAL leftover.

The backing vocals, the girl voices that say "Ah ha" - over the top cheesy!
Lyrically it's a bit like a chapter from his book A PIRATE LOOKS AT FIFTY.

Oceans Of Time
Awesome

Down At The Lah De Dah
Awesome

With the CD ordered on Amazon (as a gift for someone since I ordered the LP+Hat via Mailboat) there's the free download, which can also be put on Google Play... I love that!

I bought the hat package from Mailboat and ordered a copy on Amazon, as a gift for someone, as well as a Coral Reefer hat and a SONGS FROM ST SOMEWHERE koozie from jimmybuffett.com, all arriving today.

Put up my LandShark flag (summer starts June 1st as it is) and have LIFE ON THE FLIP SIDE uploading to Google Play after downloading from Amazon Music.

A nice way to start summer!

1 Down At The Lah De Dah - awesome
2 Who Gets To Live Like This - good
3 The Devil I Know - pretty damn good
4 The Slow Lane - awesome
5 Cussin’ Island - Eh.... no
6 Oceans Of Time - awesome
7 Hey, That’s My Wave - yawnnnn....
8 The World Is What You Make It - skip
9 Half Drunk - awesome
10 Mailbox Money - pretty damn good
11 Slack Tide - awesome
12 Live, Like It’s Your Last Day - OK
13 15 Cuban Minutes - skip
14 Book On The Shelf - OK - Semi-True Stories 2.

4 songs too many but overall it's a bit more invigorating than SONGS FROM ST SOMEWHERE, which I really like for the most part.
