I went to last night's concert at the Shoreline in Mountain View. On "One Particular Harbor" and several other songs, Jimmy played a small turquoise electric solid body 12 string. It was about the size of a Baritone Ukulele with a scale length of about 20 inches. Can anyone identify this instrument.

Thanks

Come on Guitarheads. Doesn't anyone have an idea what this instrument is?

Jimmy talked about it at a few shows I heard this summer, saying that Mac had found these 12 strings and had convinced Jimmy to buy two of them. But that's all I remember him saying. I dont remember him saying what kind they were.

Unfortunately, that's all I remember hearing...

Thanks a bunch. Yes, Mac did play a second one on one song. The instrument had a nice bright jangly sound.

I want one!

I believe the green 12 strings that Mac and Jimmy are playing are Danelctro's.

Wouldn't happen to have a pic would you? Probably not since you saw it at his concert, but just thought I'd ask.

That's what they were using in Camden.

Did they look like this? This is a Martin tiple, the unholy offspring of a ukulele and a 12-string guitar

Or perhaps this Tacoma Papoose 12 string?
