Some of the reviews I read weren't all that great, but it's a fun movie! Just don't take it too seriously and enjoy the ride! Of course, I did go see it with my two best buddies from high school. It's the first time all three of us have hung out together in close to 20 years and apparently, things haven't change a bit. LOL

Reunion no doubt because of Facebook?

Actually, no! The one that lives in Houston came up to visit his mom and he called me and our third friend to see if we wanted to get together. The third friend and I live about 40 miles apart so we see each other once in a while.

For some reason (maybe the title), I was thinking it was going to be another movie about one of the many conspiracy theories surrounding the assassination of Abe Lincoln but it wasn't that at all. This focuses on the trial, which I had next to no knowledge of. At least from what I can recall about what I was taught during my history classes in high school. Most of the movie takes place within the confines of a courtroom (no surprise there) but it's compelling enough to never become boring. At least that's my take on it.

Just a heads up, don't waste your time and/or money on either one of these stinkers.

Watched this documentary last night that's included as a DVD in the West Coast Seattle Boy collection. Being born in 1962, I was aware of lots of music when I was kid, including Hendrix but it wasn't until much later in life that I came to fully appreciate him. Hearing Bootsy Collins recite Hendrix' own recollections throughout this movie helps to bring him to life in a way that lifts him up out of the pages of rock n' roll history books and makes him more than a static image. All of the interviews and concert footage also does a lot to make you think of Hendrix in the here and now rather than as another rock n' roll casualty.

This movie was really bad. Unfortunate too because it has an outstanding cast.

Good movie. A couple of nice little plot twists
