Nice refreshing drink....good for the body and mind!

Ingredients:
Litre of Bacardi 151 (not 80 proof)
(4) 1/2 gallons of apple juice or apple cider....any store bought brand is fine
Brown Sugar
Cinnamon Sticks(not ground)

Open the 4 apple ciders and pour out(into another container) approximately 1/5 of each container, leaving 4/5 remaining in each jug. Pour the Bacardi 151 equally into each of the 4 jugs and the extra container that was used to hold the extra apple cider....you should end up with 5 containers of juice and bacardi.
Add 8-10 teaspoons of brown sugar to each container. Add one whole cinnamon stick to each container. Place in the HOT sun for one whole day, then put into a refrigerator for one week. Shake containers once a day while in the fridge.
That's it.
If you like your drinks more "potent".....use 3 apple ciders and an extra container.....4 total containers.

'TEQUILA CON VIBORA



A while back, the Los Angeles Times printed a drink recipe, along with an article about Mr. Francisco Dario, the man who makes it down in Tijuana. Here's why I was ... unenthusiastic to try it.

Tequila con Vibora
Specialty of the house, Rancho Agua Caliente, Ensenada, Mexico
1 gallon (or so) of cheap white tequila
1 small rattlesnake (red diamondback preferred)

Catch the rattlesnake with a "special stick". Place the rattlesnake into a gallon jar, then fill with the cheap white tequila. As the snake drowns, it (allegedly) emits "minute amounts of compounds with certain medicinal properties." When the snake is dead, remove from jar, gut snake, then put back in jar. Put the jar in the sun for three months, then in the shade for three months. Serve as shots. "It calms the nerves," says Francisco, "and is a fine remedy for arthritis, kidney problems and cancer." '

I have wanted to try it (the person who said they were unenthusiastic was the LA Times reporter). It's not legal in the States and I usually only hear about it when someone hits some of the out of the way Baja bars. Although, in fairness, I did see a photo once of one of the touristy bars in Cabo and behind the bar they had a vat of the stuff - Lord only knows if they really serve it to the gringos there.

I hate snakes....I hate to look at them...I hate to be close to them...I don't want to eat one and I sure as hell don't want to drink one......out of the way Baja Bar....hmmm....ask Kev if he's drank a rattlesnake....
