So it's not on PJ20? I must've confused that with the box set.

Yes, it is.

Cool. Started watching it yesterday but I need to have nothing going on around to be able to understand half of it!

Hit a couple vinyl/CD shows in Raleigh and Carrboro today. Most of these I was able to find for around $2-3, aside from the double sets (Marley, Nevilles, the Meters) which were in the $7-10 range. The Cars' double CD anthology was $5. The real find was the very rare solo debut from David Lindley called Mr. Dave. I believe it only came out as an import and is therefore pretty hard to track down for a reasonable price. I've seen it going for as high as $100 online but I was able to procure a copy today for the very reasonable price of $20. Not a bad day for record show browsing...

The live album is their best live release ever - and NO OVERDUBS!

The movie is excellent and hilarious as well.

Did you find a deluxe edition of this on vinyl? If so, I know of at least one person that would be very interested in it. BTW, I know that "LP" doesn't necessarily denote vinyl but that tends to be how a lot of folks use that term.

Nah, I got the CD edition. I call CDs LPs because they're the same thing in terms of content: they're both long players.

I realize that, I was just curious if it was vinyl by any chance. I know they issued four versions of it on different colored vinyl but they're evidently just the original album. For whatever reason, when it comes to these deluxe editions, the bonus material doesn't make it to the vinyl versions.

I picked up a copy of it myself over the weekend along with this vintage Savoy Brown record.

Sorry for the over referencing.

You are correct as far as I'm aware - only the original album was reissued on vinyl, not the extra album. To my knowledge it was also remastered, which makes zero sense - there's no needing to remaster it for vinyl.

I don't understand why they didn't/don't put the bonus material on vinyl. Seems like that would be an attractive option, regardless of it all being transferred to Pro Tools and being ADD.

A long sought after first pressing of R.E.M.'s "Radio Free Europe" single, of which only 1000 were made.

Went nuts on the $5 CDs when out Christmas shopping Friday afternoon. Nothing really essential here, mainly just stuff I already own on vinyl with the exception of Mellencamp's Scarecrow and Van Halen's Fair Warning. I never have been a huge Mellencamp fan but there are a few songs of his I really like which can be found on some of his albums like Scarecrow, Lonesome Jubilee and Big Daddy. I have no excuse whatsoever for buying Destroyer other than a twisted desire to hear "Flaming Youth" again in the last year of my 40s. Same for Ted, it's been eons since I last heard some of the deep cuts (pardon the pun) from this record such as "Death By Misadventure", "Workin' Hard, Playin' Hard" and "A Thousand Knives".

Had my eye on both of these for a while and just couldn't resist when I saw them marked down to 50% off at Barnes and Noble on Friday.
