Taking a look at the albums released in the month of September

One Particular Harbour - The 12th studio album, released in Sept.1983 was produced by Buffett
and Michael Utley. It was Buffett's first involvement producing an album.

The song Stars On The Water (1st track on album) was written and a minor hit for country music songsmith
Rodney Crowell and also covered by country singer George Strait on his 2001 album, The Road Less Traveled.
OPH includes 4 cover songs: "Stars on the Water" by country songwriter Rodney Crowell, "California Promises"
by Steve Goodman, and "Brown Eyed Girl" by Van Morrison, as well as "Why You Wanna Hurt My Heart" written
by the Neville Brothers' Art Neville.

Buffett's version of "Stars on the Water" also appeared on the soundtrack to the 1993 movie The Firm. OPH
reached #59 on the Billboard 200 album chart and #35 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart. The song
"One Particular Harbour" hit #22 Adult Contemporary and "Brown Eyed Girl" made it to #13 Adult Contemporary.

Riddles in the Sand - The 13th studio album released in Sept. 1984, represented a concerted shift
toward a more country sound by JB. He appeared on the album's cover in typical country singer garb and promoted
the album at a Fan Fair country music festival in Nashville, Tennessee. The album was originally to have been titled
''Gulf and Western Music'' reflecting the fusion of musical styles seen in much of Buffett's music often called gulf
and western music.
The album is the first of Buffett's not to contain a song written solely by him; he co-wrote all of the songs with
Will Jennings and Michael Utley (one also with Josh Leo) except for a song by Mac McAnally and one by Rhonda
Coullet.

'Riddles' reached #95 on the Billboard 200 album chart and #18 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart.
The song "When the Wildlife Betrays Me" hit #42 on the Billboard Hot Country Singles chart, "Who's the Blonde
Stranger?" hit #37 Country, and "Bigger Than the Both of Us" hit #58 Country.

Volcano - Live - Released in September of 2011, Buffett played the full Volcano album live.
