Margaritaville (Espanol verse)

Post by Beachbum » Sat Oct 20, 2018 1:04 pm

I recently heard a different version of the song "Margaritaville" on Radio Margaritaville on SiriusXM. It was listed as "Margaritaville (Espanol verse)." It was predominantly in English, but had one verse that JB sang in Spanish.

I can't seem to find it anywhere. Does anyone know what it came from and how a copy can be obtained?

That version of Margaritaville was released on a promotional CD that was given away with bottles of Margaritaville Tequila, when the Tequila first hit stores. The promotional CD has 2 tracks on it one is the version of Margaritaville with with the Spanish verse and the other track is a version of the 1963 song Tequila.

The promotional CD is entitled Pitcher Perfect

Here are the lyrics to this version of Margaritaville:

Yee Haw!

Nibblin' on sponge cake,
Watchin' the sun bake
All of you Parrot Heads covered with oil.
Strummin' my six string on my front porch swing.
Smell those shrimp
They're beginnin' to boil.

Wasted away again in Margaritaville,
Searchin' for my lost shaker of salt.
Some people claim that there's a woman to blame,
But I know it's my own damn fault.

I don’t know the reason,
Stayed here all season
With nothing to show but this brand new tattoo.
But it's a real beauty,
A Mexican cutie, Carrumba! How she got here
I haven't a clue.

Todo el Mundo! (Around the world!)

Que fiesta otra vez en Margaritaville
Buscando para el perdido salero, sal, sal, sal
El gente dice que es mujer culpable
Creo que, es mi maldito culpa

I blew out my flip flop,
Stepped on a pop top,
I broke my leg twice, had to limp on back home.
But there's booze in the blender,
And soon it will render
That frozen concoction that helps me hang on.

Wasted away again in Margaritaville,
Searchin' for my lost shaker of salt.
Some people claim that there's a woman to blame,
But I know it's my own damn fault.

El gente dice que es mujer culpable
Creo que, es mi maldito culpa

It's my own damn fault!
