no mention of a show or ticket info but a very telling hint for the date none the less

"show will be announced April 4th and that

Hopefully they will announce the entire tour on April 4th. People need to make vacation plans!

EXACTLY! Airfare is going up. I don't know if I'm booking my trip for June or August. But I just want to book. JB and the CRs better start announcing soon!

Did the tickets go on sale yet? I thought from the above that this will not take place til next month, yet http://www.buffettworld.com/tourdates/ shows a link to ticket availability for Comcast Center. Is this capitalism at its "best" or did I miss the initial offering?

Comcast ticket on sale hasn't been announced yet. I went ahead and changed it to show that it's not on sale yet, even though tickets are on broker sites. Don't want to mislead people.

FYI, the links to ticket sites provides income that goes towards the website hosting fees for the site.

How can Ace Tickets be selling lawn seats when the show hasn't been announced yet?

Ticket resellers (aka scalpers) often do that. They then buy up a bunch of tickets when they go on sale and if they can't buy enough, they refund the orders that aren't filled, but that means you also don't have a ticket. Ticketmaster and the other big promoters actually even own some ticket resellers, so they essentially sell the tickets to themselves and then resell them at a higher price. There were calls for a congressional investigation into that practice, but I don't now what became of it. Your best bet for tickets is to be online and ready to go the instant they go on sale through official channels.

there is also the use of "memberships"..some venues have a "membership" ability that you can join and those folks get tickets earlier by the virtue of being a "member"...this often leads to particular sections of tickets being sold to the scalpers before tix even go on sale...(Never buy a ticket from a scalper, if you wait long enough their prices will drop and i have gotten tix in the lot for less than face value...i have NEVER went to a show and not got tickets)...

I think somebody at Margaritaville has dropped the ball. It's still not on the Margaritaville tour dates page but it goes on sale Saturday, according to Ticketmaster
