I have heard Kassav's song "Rete" on RM quite often and really like it. I just cant seem to find an electronic copy of the song anywhere, not even iTunes. iTunes only has a live version of it, which isn't the same:( Does anyone have this song? I'd be willing to trade or anything for it!

Thanks so much!!

Never heard of Kassav. I'll have to keep my eye out for him on RM.

Kind of a carribbean feel to them. JB mentions them in the booklet to BBB&B when he's talking about the song Love and Luck. It's a music genre called "Zouk"....

I've heard them several times on RM. You might want to contact RM and ask them if they know of the album and how to get it. Usually Steve or Carson are pretty good about getting back to people with questions like that. It may take them a little while but they usually get back.

Rhapsody has several of their albums but doesn't show a track by that name. Can you narrow it down a bit?

Here is the video for "Kole Sere" written by Jocelyne Béroard and J.C. Naimro

The writing credits for "Love and Luck" have always intrigued me. "Love and Luck" is clearly a rework of "Kole Sere" yet Jimmy has first credit with Jocelyne and J.C. listed behind him while they are the ones who wrote the song that Jimmy used for Love and Luck. I've always wondered why Jimmy would be listed first on a song he didn't originally write. As I recall, Jah had some insight into this a few years ago. Maybe if you see this Jah, you can refresh my memory.
