Timberline Ski Resort Hosts Free Jimmy Buffett Tribute Concerts

By HNN Staff

Timberline Four Seasons Resort will present Tom Watt’s “The BuffettMan” during the finale ski weekend March 31-April 1, 2006. Tom Watt is the number one Jimmy Buffett impersonator.

Performances will Friday, March 31 from 10 p.m. to midnight; Saturday April 1, 2006 from 1 to 3 p.m. and 10 p.m. to midnight. The public is invited and there is no charge for the performances.

Tom Watt was awarded the International Guild of Celebrity Impersonators Award “Best Male Musical Star”. He has recorded the album “Up Where We Belong” (ala Joe Cocker- Jennifer Warnes), and has had many television appearances.

The resort’s ski area, which is in operation everyday through April 2, 2006, has been voted the areas favorite ski area by a reader’s poll of the region’s newspaper. Timberline’s popularity is in part due to its famous “Salamander Run”, the South’s longest ski trail (over 2 miles long), its high altitude Eastern skiing, the 1,000 feet vertical and its new trail “Twister”. From Twister skiers enjoy spectacular views of the Timberline villages and go through two tunnels in their one mile descent from the apex of Herz Mountain.

Although the final day of skiing is April 2nd, the resort is open every day, all year, including its popular Fireside Grill and Timber’s Pub. Summer events will feature a number of music festivals, mountain biking, lift rides, horseback trail rides, motorcycle races and the annual Frontier Weekend (August 4th & 5th).

For more information regarding the Jimmy Buffett Tribute or the summer events call 1-800-SNOWING or 304-866-4801 or visit the web site http://www.timberlineresort.com.

At the Beganiversary last year in Cincy, the Beach Bums played. They were great. Jimmy, Harry Belafonte, etc.

they are out of Chicago , I think

Also, Jim Morris and the Big Bamboo were there. I don't reember any Jimmy from them, but they played a lot of JJW.

From Florida, I think

I am going Dallas next Friday for a Party at the end of the World. Then on Saturday night in Fayetteville, AR. The NWA Parrotheads are having their annual fundrasier and PHINS from St Louis is going to be there.

There is a link to the venue where the event is taking place. $10 cover, I think. It is going to be a great weekend next weekend.
