More than any other team, the Rays are huge fans of
radical realignment. They would volunteer if MLB was
looking for a team to move from the AL to the NL
(rather than the other way around).

Team President Matt Silverman says "it can't get any worse"
for the Rays than competing against the Yankees and Red
Sox in the AL East.

Sailin' on a BW midnight boat, their were no questions asked.
Waters so green and the air was so clean Matt stuck right to
his task.

And, too, if they moved to the NL, they'd have a natural rivalry with the Marlins. Both those teams need something to get fans interested. However, IDK what good it would do to move Tampa Bay to the NL. It would make more sense to move the Marlins to the AL if we're talking realignment.

A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort. - Herm Albright

I would bet you that the Orioles, Blue Jays, White Sox, Tigers, Indians, Royals, Twins, Rangers, Mariners, Angels and A's would volunteer to move to the NL. Especially the O's and Blue Jays because then they would have more of a chance every year.

I've got my toes in the grass, my ass in a chair since I live nowhere near a beach.

Wishing I was still in St. John because I think I have found me a home.
