Even though he's not in Chicago anymore, Dusty Baker is

The Cubs took 2 of 3 from my Reds this weekend. They were all close games. I tip my Reds cap to them. :(

Now I'm starting to agree with the name of this thread

Man, do they suck right now. They really need to
dump Bradley and Soriano, I can't stand them.
They're 2 over-paid bitches !

The Twins are a good team, I like how they fill the
big league roster with home-grown talent every year.

Bradley is the f'n piece of @#*%, he's the worst
acquistion in Cubs history. :shakehead:

Cubs C Soto tests positive for Marijuana

C Geovany Soto said he has been
informed by the International Baseball Federation
that he tested positive for marijuana at the
World Baseball Classic.

Everybody has been looking for some tangible
evidence as to why Geovany Soto's production has
dropped off so much. Now we've got some.

"While I fully acknowledge my inappropriate
behavior, I want to assure my fans and my family
that this was an isolated incident," Soto
said in a statement released by the Cubs.
"I do not say this to minimize or deflect from my
conduct and I fully understand the ramifications
of my actions. I have and will accept any
and all consequences.

"I am fully dedicated to the game of baseball and
my teammates, and I apologize for any
distraction and embarrassment this may cause them."

Neither the Cubs nor MLB will penalize Soto,
according to sources contacted by
ESPNChicago.com's Bruce Levine.

MLB does not regularly test for marijuana since it's
not considered a performance-enhancing drug,
according to a players' association spokesman
interviewed by Levine. But if MLB has suspicion
that a player is involved with a drug like marijuana,
it can ask for that player to be tested. This incident
may open Soto to future testing. And if the result
of the MLB test is positive, the league can fine
and/or suspend the player.

The Cubs released a statement while playing
the Tigers in Detroit.

"Geovany assured the organization this was
an isolated incident and a misstep in judgment
that will not be repeated," the statement read.
"Though surprised and disappointed, the club
supports Geovany as he takes responsibility
for his actions and accepts the consequences."

Soto, who is the reigning NL Rookie of the Year,
played for Puerto Rico in the WBC.

Bartman film in the works, some Cubbies aren't happy.

ESPN's plan for a documentary on Steve Bartman
isn't going over too well in the Cubs clubhouse.

Chicago Tribune's Paul Sullivan says the
upcoming "30 for 30" film deals with Bartman
interfering with a foul ball during the 2003 NLCS.

Cubs 3B Aramis Ramirez said, "I don't
know what difference it's going to make
for the fans of Chicago, or for Bartman
himself. To me, I don't see anything positive
coming out of it for me as a player, or
for us as players".

Millionaire Ramirez does not want Bartman to make a little money on his story? :shakehead:

(Assuming Bartman will get a payday from this)
