Nice change of pace from the other Tiki Time Tour discs but it also shows just how far Buffett has strayed from his original sound, You Had To Be There, it's not but it's still an enjoyable listen.

Nice to finally hear an official live high-quality release of We Are the People Our Parents Warned Us About/Twist & Shout, and Boat Drinks. I like Live in Auburn, WA the best out of the 5 Tiki Time albums, but this comes second.

I just recently bought this one, didn't look into it before.
It's a good concert, I like the opening by Don Ho.

I also will have to get the other live ones out there,
Vegas, Mansfield, Cinci, etc. :peace:

Is it me or is the "Quiet Village" extremely short? Or was it supposed to be?

Thanks!

I had heard that the sound on the "Live in Hawaii" album was bad, but I decided to download it from itunes anyway. The sound is actually good, and I really like this live album. There are some really cool things about it such as the intro by Don Ho and some unique songs such as "Great Heart," "Burn that Bridge," "Natives Are Restless Tonight," "Everybody's Talkin'," "It's My Job," and "Stories We Could Tell." It's already become one of my favorite Buffett live albums, and I recommend it highly.

What's really nice about this album vs all the other Tiki albums is that it's a bit of a hint of what was to come with License To Chill. This album is my second fave, behind You Had To Be There. I got the original release, the one you had to order through the mail from Mailboat Records. I can't remember when it came out but I thought it came out in June of 2004.

Great Heart is on all the Tiki Time albums and was also the opening track on the 2000 spring/summer Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays tour and the 2001 winter tour as well. Seeing that it was a recent tour opener it might not be so unique!

It was nice to hear what was going through JB's mind though when Live In Hawaii came out around the time of LTC and to be able to hear the couple of LTC songs live before the album was released. It was a sneak peak at the time of the show, preserved on a recording to be put out just after LTC was released.
