Josh...how difficult would it be to add a "jump to page ____" button? It is a godsend when it comes to finding a spot in really long threads, like the one we had on Friday.

Plus it would be "value added" to an already great site.

Yea because you can only jump to the first few pages or last few pages? It would be kind of hard for that. You may already know this, but take for example today's Virtual Tailgate. If you click to page 29 say, look at the address bar, it says -

http://www.buffettworld.com/forum/viewt ... &start=420

But it only gives you the choice of going to page 1,2,3 or 28, 29, 30, 31. But you can guesstimate where page 15 would be by changing the link to something like this -

http://www.buffettworld.com/forum/viewt ... &start=210

All I did was change the start=420 because that is the number post that you are displaying. Does that make sense?

Well, the discussion board will be changing sometime in the near future because they are updating to a whole new version. It's pretty exciting and we will convert to it as soon as it's released. You all will find a lot of cool, useful features with it.

Hmmm...I've been on several boards that have that feature...hopefully the upgrades here will include it. You click on the jump to button, then it offers all the page choices on a scroll down screen. No guesstimating required.

Were they this type of discussion board... phpBB? Or a different type? There may be an addon for phpBB but I haven't looked for it
