It has been 20 years since Whitney Houston's box-office hit ''The Bodyguard'' first hit theaters, and to celebrate that anniversary, Warner Bros. and NCM Fathom have teamed to release the film in theaters throughout the country for one night.
Fans who want to see the film, starring Houston as a famous singer who hires a former Secret Service agent (Kevin Costner) to act as her bodyguard and protect her from violent stalkers, can head to one of the 400 select theaters nationwide at 7:30 p.m. local time March 28th.
The Bodyguard was the 2nd highest-grossing film worldwide in 1992. The soundtrack became the best-selling soundtrack of all time, selling more than 42 million copies worldwide. It featured several of Houston's most well-known and fondly remembered songs, including "I Will Always Love You," "I'm Every Woman" and "Queen of the Night."
Although the theatrical showing is timed to the film's 20th anniversary, the recent death of the iconic singer on Feb.11th is sure to prompt many fans to head to theaters to see Houston on the big screen.
