As CBS brass is busy searching for it's new Two and a Half Men lead,
sources tell The Hollywood Reporter that another network comedy,
''Rules of Engagement'', has secured a renewal.

The David Spade comedy has been bounced around the network's
schedule for the better part of it's 5 season run, many of those
seasons in the not-as-desirable midseason slot.

While it has failed to score big buzz the way a Big Bang Theory
has during that time, it has proved a solid ratings performer for
the network. It has averaged about 8.5 million viewers this
season, according to Nielsen.

Funny how it's referred to as "The David Spade comedy" when he doesn't even receive star billing on the show. The principles are the two couples. If anything, he's a co-star.
