"Hanna Montana" may be history.

A Disney Channel executive said the popular
show starring Miley Cyrus is likely to shut down
for good after filming its 4th season.

Senior VP programming Adam Bonnett told
the NY Post that while "you never know in
this business," the show is "scheduled to wrap
after shooting this next batch of episodes."

A Disney spokeswoman confirmed his
comments Friday but would not elaborate.

Production on season 4 is set to begin later
this month. Those episodes will start airing
in late spring and continue through 2011.

"Hannah Montana" averages about 5 million
viewers a week. A rep for Cyrus did not
immediately respond to a request for comment.

Good riddance :violent:

Bless me father, yes I have sinned. Given the chance I'll probably do it again.

Sure ... she's got that whole Disney machine marketing her ..... but I'll you this ..... the little gal's got some talent. She's got a "Lucy" kind of comedic timing and her stage awareness is beyond her years. Plus the little gal can belt out some teeny bopper delightful songs.

But ...... how well can she transition into adulthood performing? Her fan base has grown up and moved on as well. My kids used to love her but now she's too "Disney" for their tastes. That's her challenge.

I'm betting she can find a way to succeed. It's easy to joke about her .... but the kid's got something. Let's hope she doesn't turn into a *Lindsey Lohan* kind of trainwreck as she matures.

My daughter still loves her and can sing every word to all her songs but she is slowly pushing away her core base. They have said for years that she will not become the hollywood type because her parents will keep her grounded but she certainly is starting to act like she is in her 20's or 30's with her tattoos and pictures and the fact that she was 16 and dating a 26 year old. I can't think of anybody that geared all their stuff to kids and teens and ended up having a great adult career.

I've got my toes in the grass, my ass in a chair since I live nowhere near a beach.

Wishing I was still in St. John because I think I have found me a home.

She has one HELL of a voice--and thats only hearing the stuff that the Country Radio plays by her. She really needs to leave Disney and broaden her career, and she will be right up there with taylor swift,

Here's the deal I'm the best there is. Plain and simple. I wake up in the morning and I piss excellence.
