She didn't mention the oranges....Yep you can see them turning colors now too.
They don't really get sweet until after the first real freeze for some reason I have not quite understood. I have to build fires to keep them from freezing.....
However many times I tell moonie or someone that, she/they still has to try one and find out if they have sweetened up...The trees teases you making them look ripe for well over a month. It always reminds me of the Carly Simon song "Anticipation"
and it becomes a test of willpower or giving your tastebuds a sour orange or satsuma.
Oh yeah moonie forgot to tell you...... we are going to do it different this year .... we are going to have a lottery this year on who gets to get them to raise money ( cash, gold, platinum, Treasury bonds gladly accepted after verification ) to send moonie to see her grandkeets this year. So start buying your tickets early and often now.
