Buffett’s ninth studio album was was called “Son of a Son of a Sailor.”

Notes on the album:
-“Son of a Son” was Jimmy’s shortest album to date, containing just 9 songs.
-3 singles were released, but none of them caught fire. They Were “Livingston Saturday Night” - #91 Billboard Country Charts, and #52 Billboard Pop Charts, “Cheeseburger in Paradise” - #32 Billboard Pop Charts, and “Manana” - #84 Billboard Pop charts.
-Despit no singles doing real well, the album did charting at #6 on the Billboard Country Charts and #10 on the Billboard Pop Charts. The album was also certified “Platinum” by the RIAA.
