Buffett’s fourth studio album was called “A1A.”

Notes on the album:
-“A1A” was Jimmy’s second album of 1974, which is the only year ever that Jimmy released 2 new studio albums in.
-Only 2 singles were released from this album, both charting. They Were “Door Number Three” - #88 Billboard Country Charts, #102 Billboard Pop Charts and “A Pirate Looks at Forty” - #101 Billboad Pop charts.
-Several Songs were written and played Live by Jimmy before this album was recorded, however it is unknown if they were ever actually Recorded and Considered for the album. Those songs were “Buttermilk Grove”, “Peddlers and Pushers”, “Such a Long Haul to Such a Short Fall”, and “Reservation at the Preservation Hall”.
-At least one other Title for the album was considered, that was “Migration”.

Offical Coral Reefer Liner Notes -

A1A is the beach access road that runs occasionally on and off U.S. 1. It can take you to some of the Prettiest Beaches in Florida East of Saint Augustine, Right through the middle of "Wrinkle City" better known as Miami Beach and ending suddenly 90 miles North or Havana and four blocks from my house.
Peter Whorf came to Key West to talk about my ideas for the Cover. After several hard skull sessions at Louie’s Backyard, we chose our name and started up A1A to Miami. So the cover was the trip and the trip was a cover, and there is also a record inside. I hope you like them both. - Jimmy Buffett August ‘74 Key West, Florida
