Jimmy Buffett performed at the Byron Bay Bluesfest in Australia on Friday night. It was his first show in Australia since his stage fall in 2011.

In an Instagram post, Buffett said “Fins up Australia. That was an amazing night – thank you for having us! AN amazing night.”

Send us the set list if you’ve got it!

Buffett will stay in the southern hemisphere, playing a show in New Zealand on Tuesday.

Jimmy lived a few blocks from me in Coconut Grove with Jerry Jeff and I met him. I was a Parrothead before Tim first said the phrase. I love music, the Keys, travel and islands. What I love the very most is flying, I first flew solo, in Miami, when Jimmy was 14. When Jimmy started flying like crazy it was icing on the cake for me.

I first saw Jimmy in Cincinnati 30 years ago. I can have never imagined that 30 years later, I would be living in Australia and see him again in beautiful Byron Bay. His ride over the last 3 decades is much more iconic than mine, but isn’t it interesting how his enduring presence and music is intertwined into so many Parrothead lives?
