The inside info. that we heard was that the rumor going around all
the towns that closed CIP, was that Kutchie's Key West Kutcharitaville Cafe's Were coming to those towns with-in the next
seven or so years. Could it be, that perhaps CIP saw the handwriting on the wall and decided to get-out of dodge, while the
getting-out was good! What we call, saving face!...No restaurant has ever been able to last while Kutcharitaville's remain open. Hell,
Kutchie's dosen't even believe in advertising. Buffet's burgers can't
even compare to Kutchie's "World's Greatest Cheese Burgers" and
their World Famous Key Lime Pies. Strong Island Drinks that you can buy for a Song. Cutest waitstaff on God's Green Earth.
Hell, If I knew that Kutchie's was coming to town, I would probably get-out of dodge too!!!

just my thoughts,................Bob De Niro

Good riddance.

Just drove 30 miles to the CIP in Huntersville only to deiscover a completly unmarked boarded up building. What a loss. Based on the crowds I alsways saw there kind of like boarding up the gold mine. Maybe not the finest food in the world but the atmosphere and friendlyness of the "Islanders" made up for it. Still the best fish sandwich in town.

The Huntersville, NC (near Charlotte) location closed last night. Had decent crowd as I drove home last night and then boarded up this morning. That was quick.

For all of you guys information: the burgers are 7 oz of meat, and the drinks are totally not over priced. Seriously people, if you go into Cheeseburger and just order a "small cap and coke" then you are just not doing the CIP justice. Some of the coolest cocktails ever made are price right at just $6.25, and that is in a 14 oz glass.

Btw, those fries are way good, and if you think the burgers are over priced... you could have ordered something else like chicken, pork, or salmon for almost the exact same price.

Sadly, I am going to miss Cheeseburger in Paradise.

Wow we all wonder why they closed yet another CIP. Kalamazoo Michigan just this week with no notice to the employees. Over priced drinks and food is what I think closed this CIP. 8.49 for the mini burgers. I can go to the fast food place right next door and get their burger and fries (that tastes better) for $5. Then the alcohol was WOW. $5.95 for a very small cap and coke. I can get a long island at the other bar for that. I won't miss you CIP.

I was a insider in this organization--- the key word being was..... I can tell you first hand that this place was poorly managed from the top. Too many compromises were made from the beginning and too many weak players were brought on to manage the restaurants. After the first restaurant was opened for a year (Indy) Debbie left I should have known something was wrong........ I opened the company's 31st restaurant to overwhelming crowds...then the business just died...... No money for anyone...... Jimmy sold his half.........Then Dennis left the company..... The next day the company went private...... This concept is horribly run and too many top exucetives are jumping ship.... Maybe Applebee's will buy it...... Sorry I ever wasted my time thinking this was gonna be the next big thing....

I'm sad to hear about the Leawood, Kansas, location closing.

I discovered CIP in the Washington, D.C. area, where it was delicious, and a fun place to go.

Honestly, the Leawood location had TERRIBLE service, which is probably why they closed. I could never get my husband to go back there because our food was served cold, and we waited forever. Several of my friend confirmed similar experiences.

Still, I'll miss my mini bugers and key lime pie.

I was one of the Bartenders at the Lansing, MI location. I agree with what most of you have said. Yes it was over priced, but the drinks were great, and it was unique. I don't think our name gave us any justice either. There was a lot of other things on the menu other than cheeseburgers that were awsome, but seldom tried.
I want to thank everyone for your patronage.
To all those that dont think a half pound burger is big enough, good luck with your heart attack in the future! Most people couldnt finish the damn things!
